Michigan House serves a youth client population with diverse histories and upbringings. We realize that positive representation of our mission and vision is paramount. The core values of Michigan House, Inc. which guide our services, are practiced daily and carried out by staff, volunteers, and program affiliates. Our core values are summarized below.
The clients we serve are our number one priority. We tailor our services and activities to meet the needs of the clients we serve. We place emphasis on the client’s best interest in everysituation.
We provide our clients with a safe, secure, and nurturing place to stay. We surround each client with the support necessary to feel comfortable in all program environments and settings, ultimately fostering a sense of belonging.
We see the value of client and family inclusion in all aspects of our program. We are students to the youth we serve and can learn from their input.
We form lasting relationships with the youth we serve. Our support extends beyond the term of program participation. Clients are encouraged to stay affiliated with program staff and peers throughout their journey to adulthood.
We respect our client’s individuality, including likes and dislikes. We encourage the development of each client’s strengths and help to build resilience in adversity.
